Corporate Event Planning Checklist for Malaysia
A corporate event checklist helps the planning team keep the programme, venue, suppliers and technical requirements aligned. Use the following sequence as a practical starting point for conferences, launches, annual dinners, networking events and employee celebrations.

1. Define the event objective
Identify what the event needs to achieve and who the audience is. The objective should shape the programme, venue, guest journey and production requirements.
2. Confirm the venue and format
Check venue access, guest flow, stage position, registration, seating, technical areas, loading access and rehearsal requirements before the event plan is finalised.
Guest capacity and seating layout
Registration and arrival areas
Stage and presentation sightlines
Loading and supplier access
Technical control positions
Rehearsal and event-day access
3. Build the programme
Create a clear running order covering registration, opening, presentations, performances, meals, awards, networking and closing. Assign a responsible person to every important segment.
4. Plan technical production
Coordinate microphones, sound, lighting, LED displays, playback, staging and technical crew early. Production should be designed around the actual programme rather than added at the final stage.
5. Coordinate suppliers and crew
Prepare a central schedule showing deliveries, setup, technical checks, rehearsals, briefing times and responsibilities. This helps different suppliers work from the same plan.
6. Prepare for event day
Complete site checks, equipment testing, crew briefing and rehearsal before guests arrive. During the live programme, the event team should manage the running order, supplier coordination and technical cues.
